Groundwork does not collect any data about you.
That is the whole policy. The rest of this page explains what it means precisely, because pages headed “we value your privacy” usually mean the opposite.
Nothing. Groundwork has no account system, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no attribution SDK and no tracking of any kind. We do not know that you installed the app, and we cannot.
Your answers, mock exam results and flagged questions are written to a single file inside the app’s own container on your device. That file never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server of ours, because we do not operate one.
Deleting the app deletes the file. You can also erase it at any time from Settings → Reset all progress inside the app.
One small record is kept separately and deliberately: a count of how many free mock exams have been started on the device. It contains nothing about you — only a number — and it exists so that erasing your study history does not also restore the free allowance.
Groundwork makes no network requests, with one exception: purchases and restores go through Apple’s StoreKit. That exchange is between your device and Apple. We receive no personal information from it — only whether this device is entitled to the Full Prep unlock.
The study content, the questions and the FAA source passages are all bundled inside the app, which is why it works with no connection at all.
Tapping a source citation opens the FAA’s website in your browser. That is an ordinary web visit to faa.gov, subject to the FAA’s own privacy practices, not ours.
Groundwork is a study aid for an FAA certificate with a minimum age of 16. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.
There are none. No SDKs, no processors, no partners, no data sharing, because there is no data to share.
Apple processes your purchase and may provide us with anonymous, aggregated sales and download reports through App Store Connect. Those reports contain no information that identifies you. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
If a future version of Groundwork ever collects anything, this page will say so before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label will change with it. The app’s own Settings screen states the same commitment, and it is intended to stay literally true.
